My friends and I are currently lobbying to change the law in Wisconsin and Minnesota so that repetitive violent offenders (like Jason Borelli, the man on trial for Leah's murder) are in a public registry of some sort and the public will be warned of their existence, their crimes, etc. We are going door-to-door in Wisconsin and Minnesota to try to gather enough signatures from each state's residents who also want this law in effect. Once we feel we have enough signatures from each state we will be sending letters on behalf of each state to each states governor. We are also going to be doing fundraising for local women's charities on behalf of Leah Gustafson and her memory.
